A handmade Hawk GT, designed by Mark Rogers of Superior Kayaks. This is a hand constructed canvas on frame touring kayak it is valued new at $1,500. Asking price is $800.00 with some negotiation room.
Kayak is constructed of a bent wood Alaskan pine frame & 20 oz. canvas cover (that?s extra strength), with a painted coating. The craft has a Length 18?6?& width @ center of 22?, weight 38 lbs... The following options are also included; medium front and rear hatches, a deck compass, a rear Skeg, with ample deck tie down cords. The human containment area is comfortable with a removable sea sock, for safety. The top deck frame under the canvas is reinforced with a white oak support. Day trip on a small river or Grand Tour of Lake Superior islands. This kayak requires some experience. It is fast, stable and fun. Sacrifice because of physical reasons.
